One Page at a Time

What I Cannot Change

I know what makes me comfortable
And I know what makes me tick
And when I need to get my way
I know how to pour it on thick
Cream and sugar in my coffee
Right away when I awake
I face the day, and pray to God
I won’t make the same mistakes

All the rest is out of my hands
I will learn to let go what I cannot change
I will learn to forgive what I cannot change
I will learn to love what I cannot change
But I will change, yeah I will change
Whatever I, whenever I can

Yeah I don’t know my father
Or my mother well enough
It seems like every time we talk
We can’t get past the little stuff
The pain is self-inflicted
I know it’s not good for my health
But it’s easier to please the world
Than it is to please myself

All the rest is out of my hands
I will learn to let go what I cannot change
I will learn to forgive what I cannot change
I will learn to love what I cannot change
But I will change, yeah I will change
Whatever I, whenever I can

Well I know I can’t care about how everyone else really feels
I have enough hurt of my own to heal

I will learn to let go what I cannot change
I will learn to forgive what I cannot change
I will learn to let go what I cannot change
I will learn to forgive what I cannot change
I will learn to love what I cannot change
But I will change, yeah I will change
Whatever I, whenever I can

Hair-Washing Robot from Panasonic

Panasonic is one of just a few companies that develop device that could assist the elderly and the disabled. In 2009 the company unveiled a Robotic Bed that allows integrating a wheelchair into the bed and now it brings to public attention its latest invention - the hair-washing robot.

Panasonic's hair-washing robot was developed with the goal of reducing the burden for caregivers working in hospitals and different health care institutions. The device incorporates the company's robot hand technology with 16 fingers that are used to wash hair and sponge down the shampoo bubbles.

The two robotic hands scan the human head in 3D while moving and calculating.

Panasonic's latest invention remembers the shape of the head in order to apply the right amount of pressure when massaging and shampooing, reports Japan Today.

It is worth mentioning that each of the two robotic arms features 3 motors combined with power detection sensors. The two are used to control swing, press and massage movements.

StrawBerries Story(A fruit of Love)

Many years ago when a boy would court a girl
It wasnt just 'do ya wanna date'? or out the door he'd be hurled
There was a gentle art of showing that his thoughts were keen
And to the parents house would come, with intentions, not just dreams

One way to show his love was real, to test his intended's zeal
To show the parents that he had the stuff that made it real
Was in an act of proving that his hunting skills were honed
And also that he'd think of her and spoils be brought to home

And so the lad would go to forest, take himself a straw
A long and skinny piece of grass, to present at parents door
And then a hunting he would go, to find the blessed sweets
The wild untamed small berries, to present to his love as treats

And as he wandered through the glades, he sang a little song
And hunted these small berries through the morn and all day long
Each tiny berry that he found, he threaded on the straw
A bead of love for his intended, then he'd hunt for more

And as his bounty grew, and twas enough to round her wrist
He knew that he just had to hunt for more, less love be missed
And so each corner of the forest, swept by his young eyes
As hunters instincts keened in him, to win his hoped for prize

And sing his song he did for her, and as his berries grew
His love he worked so hard for in these berries, now he knew
As day past high and still that straw would fit only her throat
He keened his senses one more time, so love would not be broke

And as he hunted, teasingly these berries smelled so sweet
And as he'd hunted all day long, had nothing himself to eat
At this point he could make a choice, and eat his just desserts
Or test if his own love was true, hunt on, although it hurt

If he could find the berries that would fill that blessed straw
And with each bead of sweetness added, love his bride still more
He would, when had his berry straw, present himself to door
Of parents and hold out his off'ring, ask for nothing more

And if his love accepted it, and wore the berry straw
And ate each tasty morsel from it, wanting ever more
Each bead that held his love for her, in gentle hands was held

His offer was accepted and, in her, his love now dwelled

The Golden Rose

The Golden Rose

I give to you a rose,
As I pledge to you my growing affection
The petals of the rose curve with grace and beauty,
The perfection of its creations, a wonder to behold.

The green of the leaves is the newness
of learning to know each other.
The thorns are the barriers we erect to protect our fears
and vulnerability in a new relationship.
The color gold reminds me of the golden lights
that shine in your eyes.

My Special Love

My Special Love

You are special my love.
Your strength comforts me.
Just to reach out and know you are there.
To kiss you the whole night through
elevates me to the heights of joy.
To know you want to touch me, kiss me,
hold me, makes me know I'm alive.

The thoughtful little things you do warm my heart.
Your laughter at something I've said thrills me.
To dance close to you with your arms holding me tight and
mine around you, makes me feel a peace, a contentment.

Time to Dream

Time to Dream

Now is the time to dream of what can be.
The future lies ahead and along its winding path
lies the best of what you are.
The best of what can be.
To reach for the future and embrace it,
To take each step along its shining path,
it is an awesome task indeed.
Sometimes our fears and insecurities hold us back.
Sometimes we let the opinions of others become our masters.
When others fail us or let us down, we tend to let
this disappointment cause us to fail ourselves.

Mother I Love You

Mother I Love You!

I don't know why it's so difficult to say.

I have never said it as often or when I should.
You are so special to me.
You make me proud of who I am.
You bolster me when I'm down.
You reassure me when I'm fearful.
I know that you are always there for me.
And I love you for it.

You are my anchor.

The safe haven I can always return to.
I can trust that whatever I confide to you is kept safe.
I know whatever advice you give is tempered with wisdom and love.

You support me in whatever venture I undertake.

And when it doesn't work out,
you help me evaluate it,
you're not judgmental or blaming.

You believe in me.

You are caring and loving.
I need you and your love, to be with me always.
Thank you for loving me.
From the depths of my heart.
Mother, I Love You.
